Transfer of Land to E2E Growth to Support Housing Partnership
On 29 October 2025, Yarriambiack Shire Councillors endorsed in principle support to partner with E2E Growth for a housing development in Warracknabeal. The proposal outlines the construction of 14 units on 40 Anderson Street, Warracknabeal, with options for both rental and purchase. The project aims to provide additional worker housing and create opportunities for residents to downsize, thereby increasing available housing within the Shire.
Council has identified this partnership as an approach to meet demand in the housing market. Community consultation is being conducted according to Section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 and Council’s Community Engagement Policy and Procedure. The proposal seeks to facilitate the transfer of land located at 40 Anderson Street, Warracknabeal, to E2E Growth Holdings Pty Ltd for the purpose of housing development, with the objective of addressing current housing demand.
This action is subject to successful subdivision, planning approval, and is contingent upon execution of a Section 173 Agreement, which will contain obligations including:
a) not using the land for purposes other than those approved by Council;
b) returning the land to Council for nominal consideration if it is not developed and used for its intended purpose; and/or
c) compensating Council for any losses resulting from a breach of these obligations.
The Yarriambiack Shire Council land purchase price of $111,500 will be distributed across the 14 units, with $7,964.28 payable to Council following the sale of each unit.
Council is inviting public feedback on the proposal to transfer the land, including all conditions and obligations specified. Community members may submit feedback in support of or opposition to the proposal.
