On 30 June 2025, Council adopted the Council Plan 2025–2029, which outlines the strategic direction and objectives of Yarriambiack Shire Council for the next four years in accordance with section 90 of the Local Government Act 2020. Each year, specific actions are developed and delivered to support the implementation of the Council Plan.
Yarriambiack Shire Council gives notice that the proposed Year 2 Actions under the Council Plan 2025–2029 are now available for community feedback.
The Council Plan 2025–2029 was adopted by Council on 30 June 2025 in accordance with section 90 of the Local Government Act 2020. The Plan sets out Council’s strategic direction and objectives for the four-year period. Each year, Council develops a set of actions to support delivery of the Plan.
The proposed Year 2 Actions outline initiatives across the four strategic themes of the Council Plan:
- An Innovative and Diversified Economy;
- A Healthy and Inclusive Community;
- A Resilient and Sustainable Natural Environment; and
- A Council That Serves Its Community.
These actions include projects and initiatives relating to roads and infrastructure, township planning, tourism, housing, early years and community wellbeing, recreation and open spaces, waste and environmental initiatives, governance, financial sustainability, records management, community engagement and advocacy.
Council invites community members to review the proposed Year 2 Actions and provide feedback during the public consultation period.
The proposed Year 2 Actions can be inspected on Council’s website.
Written submissions must be received by 5.00pm on Tuesday 30 June 2026 and can be submitted:

Any person wishing to make a submission should ensure it is received by the closing date. Following the consultation period, Council will consider all submissions before finalising the Year 2 Actions.
