Mobile Waste & Recycling Services
Council's Mobile Waste & Recycling Services are the Mobile Transfer Station Service and the Little Yellow Wagon Service.
These services provide convenient ways for eligible residents to safely dispose and recycle household waste.

Mobile Transfer Station Service
Overview
Eligible residents of Yarriambiack Shire who hold a Seniors Card, or Disability Health Care Card, or who live in Yaapeet / Patchewollock are able to book a hard waste collection.

COLLECTIONS TO COMMENCE FROM THURSDAY 23 JULY 2026
Schedule
The pre-booked collections will occur on Thursdays, focusing on different areas of the Shire on a rotational timetable:
- 1st Thursday of the Month: Southern collection area - Murtoa, Minyip, Rupanyup, and Lubeck.
- 2nd Thursday of the Month: Central collection area - Warracknabeal, Brim, and Beulah.
- 3rd Thursday of the Month: Northern collection area - Hopetoun, Woomelang, Speed, Tempy, and Lascelles.
- 4th Thursday of the Month Special collection area - Yaapeet and Patchewollock.
Bookings
- The service works on a pre-booked system.
- There are a maximum of 6 collections available for each collection Thursday.
- Bookings must be requested at least 2 weeks prior to the collection Thursday (for the associated collection area).
- Collections will be allocated to the next available collection Thursday for the associated collection area.

Collection requests will be acknowledged to the resident within 2 business days from when the request is received by Council.
Payment
A collection will not be taken until payment is resolved - payment can be made via:
Council's Customer Service Team - Preferred Payment Method:
- Cash, card, and cheque payments accepted at the Customer Service Desk - 34 Lyle Street, Warracknabeal Vic 3393.
- Only credit card mayments can be made via a phone call #03 5398 0100.
On The Collection Day:
- Card payment (subject to availability of telecommunication connectivity), or
- Correct cash payment (change not available).
Collection
- Items must be neatly stacked on the nature strip and must fit within 3 cubic metres (3m wide x 1m high x 1m deep).
- Individual items should not exceed 1.5 metres in length/width/height and must be able to be safely lifted by no more than 2 people - at the discretion of staff.
- Items exceeding the maximum volumes will not be collected.
- Only items that are listed on the booking request will be collected.
- Items for collection must be put out within the week of the confirmed collection day.

Little Yellow Wagon Service
Overview
This service aims to provide an easy and convenient way for residents to recycle or safely dispose of household problem waste.
To be eligible to participate in this service you must:
- Be a current resident of the Yarriambiack Shire.
- Ensure only the materials listed below are presented for collection.
- Only present items during the scheduled times (do not dump waste).
- Only present domestic quantities - 20kg or 20L maximum container size (10x containers per collection).
- Not present any leaking or damaged containers (these will not be collected).

- Fire extinguishers
- Household batteries
- Smoke detectors
- Fluro globes & tubes
- Paints
- Motor oils
- Car batteries
- Vapes
E-Waste items for collection:
- Stereo systems
- DVD & VCR players
- Gaming systems
- TV's (up to 60 inches / 152cm)
- Laptops
- Computers
- Monitors

- Patchewollock General Store - 58 Federation Street, Patchewollock. 9am - 10am.
- Speed Post Office & General Store - 20 Chamberlain Street, Speed. 10.30am - 11.30am.
- Lascelles - adjacent to Hotel - Boree Street, Lascelles. 2pm - 1pm.
- Woomelang Library - 16 Proctor Street, Woomelang. 1.30pm - 2.30pm.
Friday, 12 June 2026 - 2nd Friday of the month:
- Yaapeet Community Club/Centre - 30 Bryne Street, Yaapeet. 9am - 10am.
- Beulah Business Centre - 77 Phillips Street, Beulah. 1.15am - 12.15pm.
- Brim - in front of Memorial Hall - Swann Street, Brim. 1pm - 2pm.
Wednesday, 17 June 2026 - 3rd Wednesday of the month:
- Minyip Library - 74 Main Street, Minyip. 1pm - 2pm.
Thursday, 18 June 2026 - 3rd Thursday of the month:
- Rupanyup Dunmunkle Library - 59 Cromie Street, Rupanyup. 1pm - 2pm.
