Draft Road Management Plan 2025-2029
Published on 15 August 2025
In accordance with the Road Management (General) Regulations 2016, Yarriambiack Shire Council has reviewed its Road Management Plan, with adoption of the final version scheduled by 31 October 2025.
Changes have been proposed to the Road Management Plan to address processes for road maintenance requests, inspections, and repairs.
The Road Management Plan describes the methods councils use to manage local roads and footpaths. Yarriambiack's Road Management Plan details the procedures for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining public roads and footpaths, as well as the standards and priorities adopted. It defines a framework and sets performance standards for the discharge of road management duties.
A review has been conducted to align the Road Management Plan with current standards, legislation, and community requirements. As a result, amendments are proposed, and public submissions on the draft amended Road Management Plan 2025-2029 are being sought.
The Draft Road Management Plan aligns with the current industry standard template provided by the Municipal Association of Victoria.
