Yarriambiack Shire Council wishes to provide the community with an update regarding the Hopetoun Swimming Pool Upgrade Project.
While good progress continues to be made on the redevelopment, Council has been advised that the project timeline has been extended and the pool will not be ready for opening as originally anticipated. Based on the latest advice received, project completion is currently expected to occur in December, subject to progress of the remaining works.
Council understands this news will be disappointing for many residents, families, volunteers and pool users who have been looking forward to the upgraded facility reopening.
The project represents a significant investment in the future of the Hopetoun Swimming Pool and will deliver important improvements to the facility's long-term functionality, accessibility and sustainability.
Council remains committed to delivering a quality outcome for the community and will continue to provide updates as further information becomes available.
