Governance Rules (Version 3.1)

In accordance with section 60 of the Local Government Act 2020, Yarriambiack Shire Council is required to develop, adopt and keep in force Governance Rules.

At its Ordinary Meeting held on 25 March 2026, Council adopted the amended Governance Rules (Version 3.1).

The amended Governance Rules commenced on 26 March 2026 and will operate throughout the municipality.

The key amendments primarily relate to Council’s meeting recording arrangements, including a transition from livestreaming to a “record then upload” approach to improve the quality, clarity and accessibility of Council meeting recordings for the community.
