Department of Transport & Planning (DTP) Roads

Major arterial roads and highways within the Shire are 100% funded and maintained by VicRoads. These roads are:

  • Sunraysia Highway (B220)
  • Stawell-Warracknabeal Road (B210)
  • Wimmera Highway (B240)

VicRoads Arterial Roads

  • Patchewollock-Sea Lake Road (C248)
  • Hopetoun-Walpeup Road (C247)
  • Hopetoun-Sea Lake Road (C246)
  • Hopetoun-Rainbow Road (C227)
  • Birchip-Rainbow Road (C243)
  • Warracknabeal-Rainbow Road (C245)
  • Jeparit-Warracknabeal Road (C229)
  • Warracknabeal-Birchip Road (C242)
  • Borung Highway (C234)
  • Horsham-Kalkee Road (C231)
  • Horsham-Minyip Road (C236)
  • Donald-Murtoa Road (C237)
  • Murtoa-Glenorchy Road (C237)

Municipal/Council Roads

Driveway Crossovers, Nature Strips, Stormwater Drainage, and Footpaths

All works within the road reserve require a Road Reserve Works Permit. This includes, but is not limited to, works for construction or alteration of driveway crossovers, nature strip, storm water drainage connections and footpaths.
