The new ‘Waste & Recycling Calendar’ has details for the kerbside collection from July 2026 through to June 2027. The calendar is available to download and print from Council’s website:

Council’s mobile waste and recycling services are the ‘Mobile Transfer Station Service’ and the ‘Little Yellow Wagon Service’. These services provide convenient ways for eligible residents to safely dispose and recycle household waste.

The ‘Mobile Transfer Station Service’ provides a hard waste collection service to community for a fee. This service is only available to eligible residents who hold a Seniors Card or Disability Health Care Card, or who live in Yaapeet and Patchewollock.
Bookings will open for the ‘Mobile Transfer Station Service’ from 01 July 2026.
Collections will commence from Thursday, 23 July 2026.

Our Shire’s transfer stations will have updated opening hours and new fees as of 01 July 2026.

Free disposal remains available to Shire residents for the following items:

Short-notice temporary closures will be posted to social media (Facebook) - these situations include staff illness or unavailability, total fire ban days or extreme weather conditions, and public holidays.
