Did you know Yarriambiack Shire Council provides a Vicroads Agency service at the Yarriambiack Shire Office in Warracknabeal?

The following is a list of services provided:

  • Work Diaries (Log Books)
  • Registrations of Vehicle, Truck, Trailer (all types), Motorbike and Caravan - appointment required for this service
  • Transfer of Registration of Vehicle, Truck, Trailer (all types), Vessel, Motorbike and Caravan.
  • Photos for Firearm Licence 
  • Drivers Licence Photos and Renewal Payment Renewal
  • Machinery Registration Packs
  • Learner Permits Test – appointment is required for this service (There is a fee for this service, but if completed online and attending a VicRoads Customer Service Centre this service is free)
  • Lifting of defect notices - only if there is a road worthy certificate provided
  • Light Trailer Registration Packs
  • Replacement Trailer Number Plate Orders
  • Marine Licence Application with certificate issued from Training Provider

Bookings for P-Plate testing with Vicroads must be made by calling 13 11 71.

 

What to Bring to Your Appointment

Proof of Identity - Learners Test & Vehicle Registrations

  • Original Birth Certificate (Birth Extract not accepted), Drivers Licence (or Boat/Firearms), or Passport
  • Medicare Card or Bank ATM Card
  • Proof of Residency (if Victorian Licence not provided) - Utility Bill, Pension/Health Care Card, Bank Statement etc. (Residential address printed on the document must match the garaging address of the vehicle, PO Box not accepted)

Vehicle Registrations - Other Documents / Information Required

  • VIN / ENGINE Details for us to complete a NEVDIS CHECK (please provide this information when making your appointment as this check is required to be completed prior to the commencement of Registration).
  • Proof of Purchase - Tax Invoice or Receipt
  • Road Worthy Certificate

Payments can be made by Cash, Eftpos or Cheque 
Cheques are to be made out to Yarriambiack Shire Council.

As we’re an agency of VicRoads, there are some services that we can’t provide that instead need to be carried out at a VicRoads customer service centre. The services we can’t provide include

  • Recreation registrations (motorbikes etc.)
  • Change of name
  • Clearing of defect without a Roadworthy Certificate
  • Registration renewals
  • Unregistered vehicle permits
  • Change of address
  • Probationary tests and hazards test
  • Club Permit Registrations
