Yarriambiack Shire Council would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to Adrian Tyler on being awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM).

Adrian Tyler OAM was honoured as part of the Australia Day celebrations in Rupanyup - held on Monday, 26 January 2026.

This prestigious honour is a testament to Adrian’s outstanding service, dedication, and the positive impact he has made within the Rupanyup community and beyond.

Adrian Tyler OAM has been a lifelong volunteer – serving important community groups and associations, including: the Rupanyup Progress Association, the Rupanyup VFF Landcare Group, and the Rupanyup & District Men’s Shed, as well as many local sporting clubs.

Adrian has also contributed significant hours to the ongoing Rupanyup Reservoir revegetation project – growing, planting, and maintaining thousands of trees and plants.  The reservoir is now abundant with species of eucalypts, acacia, dodonaea, callitris, and melaleuca.

Adrian’s commitment to improving the lives of others reflects the very best of our community values, and we are incredibly proud to see his contributions recognised at a national level.

Yarriambiack Shire Council expresses our deepest appreciation to Adrian for his leadership, generosity, and the many ways he has enriched our community.
