Artist Guido van Helten completed the gigantic painting on the Brim Silos in January 2016. This silo art was the first to be completed in Victoria and generated inspiration for the Silo Art Trail.
The depiction of anonymous multi-generational quartet of farmers is an iconic tribute to the farming communities of the Wimmera and Mallee region, showing the strength and resilience that is required to be a country Victorian farmer.
The Silo Art Trail is Australia’s largest outdoor gallery. The Silo Art Trail is a partnership between Yarriambiack, Hindmarsh, Buloke, West Wimmera and Horsham Councils, in collaboration with international street art agency Juddy Roller, Victorian Government and Federal Government. The silos have been donated as canvasses for the artist’s work by GrainCorp and various private owners.
