Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 74 of the Local Government Act 2020,  that on 28 August 2024, the Yarriambiack Shire Council adopted a new local law titled General Local Law 2024 to apply throughout the municipal district.

The objectives of the General Local Law 2024 are to:

  1. protect community safety and neighbourhood amenity;
  2. protect public assets and infrastructure, and the built and natural environment;
  3. enhance the use, access and enjoyment of public places for the community’s benefit; and
  4. provide for the administration of Council’s powers and functions.

The General Local Law 2024 comes into operation on 01 September 2024.

A copy of the Local Law may be inspected on Council’s website via the link below, or in person at the Council offices located at 34 Lyle Street, Warracknabeal, Victoria.
