Project Update
Council is pleased to share a further update on the Murtoa Recreation Reserve Netball & Tennis Courts Upgrade Project, with construction continuing to progress well.
The project is now nearing completion, with lighting installed, court slabs cured, and fencing and shelter works being finalised on site. The final stage is about to begin, which includes applying the acrylic surfacing, completing line-marking, installing shelter furniture and sporting equipment, as well as carrying out a general tidy-up. The project remains on track for late February 2026 completion. Stay tuned for details on the Official Opening!
Council would also like to acknowledge that we are aware of the drainage issue in the north-west corner of the new courts. Our project team has already engaged with the contractor to investigate the concern, and this matter is currently being actioned to ensure the courts are protected and the drainage functions as designed.
Council extends its gratitude to the project partners whose support has made this much-needed community asset possible:
- Victorian Government through the Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund,
- Murtoa Showyards Reserve Committee,
- Minyip-Murtoa Football Netball Club.
