Murtoa Stick Shed Visitor Information Centre Official Opening

On Saturday 24 February 2024 the upgraded Murtoa Stick Shed Visitor Information Centre was officially opened. The Project received $88,754 in funding from the Australian Government through the Australian Hertiage Grants 2020-21, $350,000 from the Victorian Government’s Regional Tourism Investment Program – Stimulus Round, a $2100 in-kind contribution from the Yarriambiack Shire Council, and a $3200 cash contribution alongside a $1350 in-kind contribution from the Murtoa Stick Shed Committee.
The Murtoa Stick Shed Visitor Experience Upgrade Project enabled the refurbishment of the Murtoa Stick Shed Visitor Information Centre and amenities which has modernized the facility and created accessibility, alongside a new outdoor covered are for groups to meet.
Mayor Cr Kylie Zanker alongside Sally Taylor, Chair of the Murtoa Stick Shed Committee officially opened the upgraded Visitor Information Centre. Following the official proceedings, guests were able to enjoy a light morning tea and explore the upgraded facilities.
