YSC Common Seal and Conduct at Meetings Local Law 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Yarriambiack Shire Council, at its Meeting of Council held 26 August 2020, resolved to adopt its Common Seal and Conduct at Meetings Local Law 2020, in accordance with sections 119 (1) and 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.

This Local Law will come into operation on 1 September 2020.

Purpose of the Local Law

The purpose and general purport of the Local Law is to:

  • revoke the current Local Law – Yarriambiack Shire Council Meeting Procedures Local Law 2019;
  • regulate the use of the common seal; and
  • create offences relating to conduct at Council and Delegated Committee meetings.
