The Introduction to ECEC course, is a pre-accredited course developed by WDEAworks and delivered at the Centre for Participation.

The aim of this course is to Introduce potential students to the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) sector.

The intention is for these students who are interested in working in the ECEC sector to grow their confidence, knowledge and skills in the formal learning environment prior to starting the Certificate III in ECEC.

There is opportunity for the students to complete the 20 hour introduction either face to face, via zoom or a hybrid.

By the end of the 20 hours, students will know if working in the ECEC sector is a good fit for them.

This course is strongly supported by the Wimmera Southern Mallee Early Childhood Education Care sector and during the course students will have the opportunity to learn from the sector and meet people currently working in the sector.

At the completion of the course there will be a celebratory meet and greet with students and members of the ECEC industry.
