At today's Statutory Meeting Cr Kylie Zanker was re-appointed as Mayor for 2022/23, leading Council through the next exciting 12 months ahead.

Cr Zanker said, "I'm delighted to be elected for another term as Mayor of the Yarriambiack Shire, a role I am honoured to undertake.  To be able to work with my fellow Councillors, CEO Tammy Smith and council staff to deliver outcomes for our communities over the next 12 months is something I look forward to.

As a council we have numerous projects to deliver such as the affordable housing, masterplans across multiple communities, a community recycling hub pilot at Yaapeet, further heavy water/flood study works and the cabins at the Warracknabeal caravan park. Continued advocacy around funding for our roads, road maintenance and heavy vehicle routes, further housing opportunities and continued enhancement and community engagement with our communities is all on the agenda for the year forward.”

As a council we have and will continue to work effectively and efficiently for our communities to delivery the services that they require".
