2.    Sportsperson of the year (player, coach &/or administrator)

3.    Young Achiever of the year (under 22 yo)

Nomination Process:

Nomination forms are available from many shops in Scott St, Warracknabeal, and the Rotary Facebook page and website.

Criteria:

·         Nominees can be involved on more than one area/organization.

·         Past winners are eligible but past citation achievements cannot be used.

·         Nominees must have a strong connection to Warracknabeal and/or the broader district. Young achievers must have a local address.

Nominations close on Wednesday 13^th December with Rotary Secretary, Tim Hewitt, Box 141, Warracknabeal or wbealsecretary@gmail.com. 

Date: Friday 26th January 2024

Location: Warracknabeal Racecourse, Henty Hwy, Warracknabeal.

Time: Breakfast from 8:00-8:50am, Official program 9:00-10:00am

Event details: A family friendly event hosted by the Rotary Club of Warracknabeal for the whole community to celebrate our country and our community. The event embodies the themes of Reflect, Respect, Celebrate-We’re all part of the story.   A free cooked breakfast can be enjoyed while relaxing under the vines at the picturesque racecourse, with local musicians providing entertainment. The official program will include a flag parade by Scouts and Guides, a presentation by past resident, Riley Richardson, who has an interesting story to tell about his journey to the Australian Men’s Netball team. Musical entertainment by the Warracknabeal Band and another past resident, the popular Jeff Woodward, a welcome to new Australian citizens in our community and the presentation of Warracknabeal and District 2024 Australia Day awards are all part of the morning
